AVAILABLE RE-CAREERED PUPPIES.
World-class puppies with outstanding pedigree & genetics.
While service work is the goal for each of our puppies, occasionally a partner requests the donation of a specific number of puppies by a certain date, but are unable to find volunteer puppy raisers when the pups are ready to be donated. When this happens, it presents the perfect opportunity for someone looking for a Labrador Retriever puppy from an outstanding bloodline, which has also gone through the same nurturing and training process the all Project 2 Heal puppies go through.
Additionally, from time to time we have older pups that remain in training here at Project 2 Heal as potential Started Service Dogs, which we decide may be better off as a great family pet, skilled companion or emotional support dog, which we may offer for sale. Many times these puppies are "re-careered" due to their size—they may not be big enough to work with a veteran who needs to be able to brace upon a service dog to stand and sit. The puppy may also prove to be too laid back (e.g., lack the level of working drive needed to work as a service dog.) We know that these puppies will make outstanding pets, skilled companions or emotional support dogs.
When a pup is purchased from Project 2 Heal, 100% of the proceeds go directly to the work we do to serve our veterans, children with special needs, and adults with disabilities.
