Beginning with the third day of life and continuing for two weeks, we conduct nurturing exercises designed to kickstart a puppy's nervous system using tactile stimulation. 

Also beginning on the third day, we introduce scent-oriented exercises proven to develop a puppy's tolerance to novel scent stimuli—a crucial element of service dog work.

This development process is backed by the U.S. Army Super Dog program and exposes puppies to the task-reward correlation via a series of new tasks, scents, cues, and rewards. 

Proper socialization as a puppy is imperative to the success of a service dog. That's why at about five weeks old, our puppies begin obedience training in distracting public settings.

During their first few weeks of life, our puppies are fed nutrient-rich goat milk (in addition to their mother's milk.) Following teething, they receive high-quality dog kibble.

Prior to Josie's pregnancy, she underwent an extensive series of medical testing to ensure her puppies would not present any recessive genetic disorders.

We take flea and tick prevention very seriously, especially considering the proximity of our litters to one another. We provide each puppy flea and tick prevention treatments.

Nurturing puppies for the first 8 to 12 weeks of life requires a lot of sanitation supplies, in order to ensure the health and cleanliness of trainers, puppies, and mother dogs.
