MEET DIANE BERNIER:

Diane Bernier is the Executive Director of Fidos for Freedom, the service dog training organization which has been working with Project 2 Heal longest. Diane's hearing dog Noah was donated to Fidos for Freedom by Project 2 Heal and serves Diane by alerting her critical sounds throughout the day—kitchen timers, doorbells, and even her alarm first thing in the morning!

As both a recipient of a Project 2 Heal pup and the Executive Director of Fidos for Freedom, Diane knows the impact of our puppies very well—especially for veterans with PTSD.

"I REMEMBER ONE VETERAN WHO CALLED ME AFTER GETTING HIS DOG... HE TOOK THE SUBWAY TO A BASEBALL GAME AND SAID, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 10 YEARS THAT I'VE GONE OUT BY MYSELF TO DO SOMETHING."

USING A PASSION FOR HELPING OTHERS REGAIN INDEPENDENCE.

As someone with limited hearing, Diane's hearing dog Noah provides an invaluable service. Noah begins each day by waking Diane up to her alarm clock, acting as her ears around the house and at work. "Here at work if someone calls my name and I don't hear them, he gets me and takes me to that person. He lets me know if someone is here at our front door at the facility. He now picks up stuff for me because I've injured my back, so he's able to continue to help me in other ways."

Diane's passion as Executive Director of Fidos for Freedom is being able to help give independence back to people who need a little help in doing so. "Our dogs are able to help them lead full, independent lives—it's just wonderful to see."

BECOME A HEALING PAWTNER!

Provide a healing paw and help heal those with physical and emotional challenges through the power of a service dog.

Monthly donors—which we call, "Healing Pawtners"—are the foundation of Project 2 Heal and our mission of reducing the cost and time it takes to place a service dog with a person in need. We're the only nonprofit in the country dedicated to breeding, nurturing, and donating Labrador Retriever puppies to become service dogs for veterans, children with special needs, and adults with disabilities. Our work can change—and in some cases, save—lives of people in need.

Through your monthly donation of $10, $30, $50 or $100, you provide Project 2 Heal with a consistent and reliable source of funding to allow us to meet our mission.

As a Healing Pawtner You'll Enjoy:

  • Knowledge that your donation will be immediately put to work.

  • Monthly "Pup-Dates" via email.

  • Opportunity to tour and visit our facility.

  • Access to playtime with our service puppies in training.

  • Car magnet to display and show your support.

  • Ability to change or suspend your donation at any time.

MAKE A DONATION THAT CAN SAVE LIVES.
