Dave C. Sanborn,  A 1973 graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and an ex U.S. Merchant Marine Officer.  He is a subject matter expert on cargo logistics and managing cargo handling facilities.  Sanborn is a past Director of East Bay Agency for Children - a non-profit organization providing therapeutic services to disadvantaged children in the Oakland and San Francisco Bay areas of California.

Mark Carlson: Mark is an attorney with Winstead PC primarily representing major financial institutions with respect to commercial real estate and lending transactions.  Mark and his wife, Jenny, have 2 children and are the proud foster parents of Bambi, one of Project 2 Heal's beautiful breeding females.  Mark graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a bachelor's degree in Philosopy and earned his law degree from Campbell University.  Contact Mark at: or 704-962-0404.

Doug Mapes, Waxhaw Business Association Liason:  Graduated from Siena Heights University in 1976 with a Bachelor Science Degree in a Business Administration. He has held several Sales/Marketing positions working with Fortune 500 companies managing commercial projects and negotiating long term supply agreements in Asia, Europe and the U.S. Doug and his wife, Janet who is an Occupational Therapist for Union County Schools have lived in the county for 22 years. Doug has been a regular volunteer for Project 2 Heal for nearly 2 years.

Andrew Laing: Andrew, who is a proud owner of Simms, a chocolate Lab and P2H bred dog, is a Senior Managing Director at DTZ, an International Commercial Real Estate firm. He has been consulting companies for over 15 years on all matters relating to their real estate. He is married to Lauren and they have 3 children with a fourth coming in 2016. Andrew graduated from the University of Virginia and did post graduate work at UC Berkeley. He is a graduate of Charlotte Leadership Forum (a two year Christian Mentoring program), an active supporter of Search Ministries, and is a regular attendee at Church at Charlotte. His personal mission to have a positive impact on lives through servant leadership, is a perfect fit for his role on the Board of P2H.

Katie Harbold: Katie is vice president and international tax manager at Wells Fargo & Company. She is a CPA and has over 15 years of public and private industry tax experience. Katie graduated from Winthrop University and has a Master in Taxation from the University of South Carolina. She is married to Bob and they have dog named Zoey.

Lori Manalis: Graduate of SUNY Oneonta and Adelphi University with degrees in Economics and HR Administration, experienced in the banking and insurance industries. Along with working with her husband, John, in the insurance business, she is a preschool assistant teacher at St. Margaret's Preschool. She volunteers for the Union County Public School System and local community events. Lori has two school aged children and two dogs, Leo and Zoey.

Charlie Petrizzo: Co-founder of Project 2 Heal and graduate of St. John's University. Charlie is married to Sandy Petrizzo and together they have two grown daughters. Prior to starting Project 2 Heal, Charlie was the National Sales Manager and Director of Marketing and Product Development in the insurance division at Wachovia. Charlie is also a graduate of Animal Behavior College and Companion Animal Science Institute.

Sandy Petrizzo, Secretary: Co-founder of Project 2 Heal and graduate of St. John's University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. A mother of two grown daughters and married to Charlie Petrizzo. Sandy is a former Senior Benefit Specialist for International actuarial firm, Buck Consultants. Sandy has served on the parish council at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Lancaster, SC, as well as their Director of Religious Education.

Denise Simonelli Pharm.D. : Denise graduated from Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1999. She then continued her education at Rutgers University College of Pharmacy where she obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.  She completed a Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice Residency at South Beach Psychiatric center in NY in 2003. She was a retail pharmacist for CVS Pharmacy in Staten Island, NY and then transferred to Waxhaw, North Carolina 2005.  In 2008, Denise and her husband, Stephen, opened their family owned and operated restaurant, Lorenzo’s Pizzeria. In 2009 they opened Stephen’s Scoops and Junior’s Pizzeria opened shortly after.  With the success of these establishments, Denise & her husband have been fortunate to give back to the community by becoming corporate sponsors to many of our local schools and help raise money for sick children. Denise has four young children herself, all under the age of 12. She is currently the pharmacy manager for Medi-Weightloss in Ballantyne & South Park. She is a proud owner of a 15- year old English Bull-dog named Scooter and a P2H puppy named Gumby.

D. Bruce Sciotto: Bruce is co-owner of The Regal Group and Regal Finance. The Regal Group/Regal Asset Recovery specializes in the removal and proper recycling of electronic waste from corporate clients across the country. Regal Finance specializes in equipment leasing and both companies have been in business for over 25 years. Bruce and his wife, Angie have two (2) daughters, Grace, a 10th Grader at Providence High School and Emma, a 7th Grader at Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School. Bruce graduated from Columbia College with a degree in TV and Film Production and prior to joining Regal worked in the TV/Film industry. Bruce served as Vice President of the St. Matthews Catholic School PTO and continues to work with the staff at Holy Trinity on technology related upgrades to the school. Bruce and Angie are the proud owners of two (2) Project 2 heal dogs, Hollie and Lucy.
